I realise this sounds like a stupid question, but - I want to find a basic customer service job for the summer, preferably somewhere like Tesco, Argos, Asda, Boots etc. But none of these big chains seem to actually advertise customer service roles online - their websites just have management or head office roles! I think most of my customer service by phone is from operators in Asia. When people in the US cannot find jobs, why are banks allowed to ship good jobs to other countries? I personally have been looking for a job for 1 year and 6 months with no luck. And I will take ANYTHING...even though I have a Master's Degree.
Would you be willing to pay a little more for products if they came with U.S.-based customer support? Or for that matter, would you pay more for something made in the U.S. if the same product made in China cost much much less? That's the challenge: low prices are important to consumers so companies find ways to lower costs to deliver products at lower prices. So I guess I think it's fair, as I'm willing to pay my taxes …
